Grandma's Groupie

This weekend Boston finally got to meet Grandma Kim. We took our first family road trip to Virginia City, Montana and watched Grandma Kim and Grandpa Ken perform for a small crowd
(small for the likes of Willson & Mckee, anyway).

The concert was in the Elling House, a very cool old house with this ballroom turned concert hall. Live music is always fun... but it's even more fun when it's good... and when it's family so you get in for free and some residual notoriety.

All of Boston's grandma's have one thing in common... not one of them looks like a grandma. Grandma Kim looked especially radiant because she's just so fond of Boston. Well, that and she's always happy when she's sharing her talent with others.

So much love in the hands of the artist. If anyone can teach Boston to play the guitar on his shirt, it's Grandma Kim.

We had a nice breakfast the next morning before we had to disband. Grandma tried some French doughnuts while Boston munched on some "finger steaks".

It was an incredibly fun trip, though far too short. I suppose we'll have to plan a trip to Colorado sooner rather than later. Boston has, after all, more great grandparents he's anxious to meet. Very soon Grandma and Grandad... very soon.

Finger steaks? You ding dong. You always have something clever to say.
