Boston is Fast... Asleep

Hooray! More pictures of the boy sleeping! I really do think they're funny so here's a couple of our favorites.

Yes it's contagious... just ask Grandpa Jones. This isn't the only thing they like to do together but it certainly is peaceful.

Maybe it's a grandpa thing. Grandpa Rubert was supervising our apartment cleaning and Boston was our distraction-man. The goofing off was about to start but we forgot Grandma Rubert was there, too. Oh well, at least Boston did his job.

Ok, this one isn't of snoozeville but it's one of Kjerstin's favorites. Boston is working on a revolutionary type of reading technique in which all the elements of his digestive system are involved in the process. Needless to say the plastic books are better for the old budget.

Just Growin' and Stuff

I have been really slacking in the taking pictures department. We had our friends Jeremy and Becka over last weekend and I was a knuckle-head and didn't take any pictures. Luckily Jeremy grabbed a few. Here are my favorites.

Boston is proving more and more every day that he is a male. All he wants to do when he gets home is get his pants off, plop down on the couch and take total control of the remote (pun intended).

Boston helped me redeem myself a little. I had an attitude problem years ago when we tried to get a picture of Kaden with me in my pads (I don't know how I got in my head I was too cool, or even cool at all, really). It's always been one of my top five regrets so I made sure Boston and his big Uncle Kaden don't miss out on the same opportunity I did.

Finally, it was such a beautiful day yesterday we thought we'd try to get some family pictures. We went out to Beaver Dick park and Boston's Aunt Allison snapped some pics for us. There will definitely be more to come because it was pretty dang fun.

Park It!

It's picture time, folks. We went to the park and just loaded up the camera. For a little bit of change up this post we're going heavy on the pixels and light on the chit-chat. Enjoy!

No trip to the park would be complete without a visit to the ball field. Diamonds aren't just girls' best friends. Boston felt right at home! (Insert any other baseball-related joke here)

And finally, we have some decent family pictures (professional pictures coming soon).

Like I said... light on the chat-chat.

Loads of Fun

Well, we're getting all settled in and Boston is adjusting to his new home. Kjerstin personalized his new room and it looks pretty shnazzy.

Believe it or not our resident genius is starting to sit up. I think it started with trying to escape his car-seat-prison. We realize he's overdue for his monthly monkey check up so here he is chillin' with his buddy.

You might be wondering why Boston is so darned happy in thes pictures... and perhaps why his head is so much bigger around than his body.

Well the answer to the first one is because he's discovered how much fun standing is. He's far from doing it on his own but Kjerstin discovered that he loves to stand and bounce while she serenades him in a medley of "The Wheels on the Bus" and "There was a mommy had a son and Boston was his name-o". I think he likes it because it makes his mommy laugh.

There's no doubt about it, Boston loves his mom. There's just as little doubt that his mom loves him, too. They're both so dang cute it's almost too much for me to handle sometimes.

A New Home!

Sorry for another delay, folks. We've moved to the booming metropolis of Rigby, Idaho and just as soon as we finish getting upacked we'll put some pictures of Boston in his new pad. We're going to miss our old apartment, of course, because it was Boston's first home... but, it's time to move on (pun intended). While our hands have been fairly preoccupied packing, lifting, stacking, scrubbing, dusting, unstacking, etc., etc. we did manage to snap a couple of pictures of our sweet little man. Enjoy!

Boston found out how much fun being upside down can be. What a rush!

The only picture we have so far in the new house is of this daring rescue attempt of Boston from the gaping jaws of a ferocious... ok, the jig is up... Aunt Meagan gave Boston this elephant towel and he finds it totally unforgettable (get it?).

This isn't exactly an Oscar worthy performance but it was pretty funny to see how much fun Boston can have with a newspaper. He just ate it right up!

Grandma's Groupie

This weekend Boston finally got to meet Grandma Kim. We took our first family road trip to Virginia City, Montana and watched Grandma Kim and Grandpa Ken perform for a small crowd
(small for the likes of Willson & Mckee, anyway).

The concert was in the Elling House, a very cool old house with this ballroom turned concert hall. Live music is always fun... but it's even more fun when it's good... and when it's family so you get in for free and some residual notoriety.

All of Boston's grandma's have one thing in common... not one of them looks like a grandma. Grandma Kim looked especially radiant because she's just so fond of Boston. Well, that and she's always happy when she's sharing her talent with others.

So much love in the hands of the artist. If anyone can teach Boston to play the guitar on his shirt, it's Grandma Kim.

We had a nice breakfast the next morning before we had to disband. Grandma tried some French doughnuts while Boston munched on some "finger steaks".

It was an incredibly fun trip, though far too short. I suppose we'll have to plan a trip to Colorado sooner rather than later. Boston has, after all, more great grandparents he's anxious to meet. Very soon Grandma and Grandad... very soon.

I'm gonna hurl!

Some day Boston is going to really enjoy riding on my shoulders when we walk around. We thought we'd start early and ease him into it. We should have known better.

All around the Rubert house the Boston rode the Daddy. The Daddy thought all was fun....

Then bleeehhhh right on Daddy!

Don't let my sour puss fool you... a good laugh was had by all.
And the Boston and the Daddy remained good, good friends... with new outfits, of course.

The End.
