A New Home!

Sorry for another delay, folks. We've moved to the booming metropolis of Rigby, Idaho and just as soon as we finish getting upacked we'll put some pictures of Boston in his new pad. We're going to miss our old apartment, of course, because it was Boston's first home... but, it's time to move on (pun intended). While our hands have been fairly preoccupied packing, lifting, stacking, scrubbing, dusting, unstacking, etc., etc. we did manage to snap a couple of pictures of our sweet little man. Enjoy!

Boston found out how much fun being upside down can be. What a rush!

The only picture we have so far in the new house is of this daring rescue attempt of Boston from the gaping jaws of a ferocious... ok, the jig is up... Aunt Meagan gave Boston this elephant towel and he finds it totally unforgettable (get it?).

This isn't exactly an Oscar worthy performance but it was pretty funny to see how much fun Boston can have with a newspaper. He just ate it right up!

Grandma's Groupie

This weekend Boston finally got to meet Grandma Kim. We took our first family road trip to Virginia City, Montana and watched Grandma Kim and Grandpa Ken perform for a small crowd
(small for the likes of Willson & Mckee, anyway).

The concert was in the Elling House, a very cool old house with this ballroom turned concert hall. Live music is always fun... but it's even more fun when it's good... and when it's family so you get in for free and some residual notoriety.

All of Boston's grandma's have one thing in common... not one of them looks like a grandma. Grandma Kim looked especially radiant because she's just so fond of Boston. Well, that and she's always happy when she's sharing her talent with others.

So much love in the hands of the artist. If anyone can teach Boston to play the guitar on his shirt, it's Grandma Kim.

We had a nice breakfast the next morning before we had to disband. Grandma tried some French doughnuts while Boston munched on some "finger steaks".

It was an incredibly fun trip, though far too short. I suppose we'll have to plan a trip to Colorado sooner rather than later. Boston has, after all, more great grandparents he's anxious to meet. Very soon Grandma and Grandad... very soon.

I'm gonna hurl!

Some day Boston is going to really enjoy riding on my shoulders when we walk around. We thought we'd start early and ease him into it. We should have known better.

All around the Rubert house the Boston rode the Daddy. The Daddy thought all was fun....

Then bleeehhhh right on Daddy!

Don't let my sour puss fool you... a good laugh was had by all.
And the Boston and the Daddy remained good, good friends... with new outfits, of course.

The End.

Two Months Old!

Well our little man is the big two-point-oh which means some significant upgrades from Boston 1.0... like being almost able to control his huge noggin'. Here he is both at 8 weeks and today, his 2 month birthday.

Here is... asleep... again. I love this picture with his golf pants. What's really funny is to see it flipped on its side...

In true Rubert/Mcnally fashion, his pants are fallin' off his back side! We may not have any cushion on our seats, but we like to think of it as giving the rest of the men in the world a fighting chance.

Birthday day! For his special day Kjerstin dressed him up in one of his handsomest outfits and then dad made him take more pictures with the monkey... you can see how well that went over.

Even fast asleep Boston doesn't play it cool, he defines it.

Some Random Silliness

It's giggle and squeal time at the Ruberts' house. Boston, not unlike his humble old dad, loves the sound of his own voice. We haven't gotten a really good recording of it yet, but we're working on it. While you wait, here are some random pictures.

What's the only thing better than an elephant for a friend? Well, two elephants for friends, of course. Boston just loves these guys.

Some very adorable feet. Boston's gonna be one heck of a barefoot water skier.

Another one of dad's favorite scenes... his two favorite people off in dreamland.

Hold on to your socks!

Boston has been a smile machine lately... here's just a taste of the action.

He's playing coy... for the ladies, of course.

This is from the 4th of July... the day Boston experienced his first bedquake.

This one is mommy's new favorite... he is looking at her, afterall.

Kjerstin makes much better smile bait.

Boston inherited this look from me... although I usually make it after eating at Stockman's (all you can eat steak is the bitter-sweet center of my food-iverse).

Boston is giving me kicking instructions.

I will take full credit for this one... I think he's labeled Kjerstin and me: Mommy and Furry Mommy

Boston hearts mom.

Busy Weekend

Just as the title so straight-forwardly says, it's been a busy weekend.

Here's the man, himself, at 4 weeks old. He's getting ready for the 4th of July.

A true American boy. That's right, son, America is number one. Oh, and about that wicked "scar" on his cheek? We're telling people he got into a brawl with some alley cats... it's totally not from his own fingernail.

Today we blessed Boston, and he looked adorable.

I know, I know... the pacifier makes the tux look less manly, but in my defense this is what happened when I took it...

We also had Kaden's Eagle Court of Honor, and Boston is quickly becoming Kaden's best good friend.
