Busy Boy

A whole month? Boston's disappointed in me, too. This post we have a few random pictures to share so I hope you enjoy them.

We saw this awesome little chair at Target and it was just Boston's size. It was on sale but it was still too steep to justify since he doesn't sit still long enough to enjoy it... I'm actually a little surprised I got this picture taken.

Boston has learned what the flash means on Kjerstin's camera phone... it's his cue to flip the charming-super-cheesy-smile switch.

This little slice of cheese was while he was "reading" his giant Corduroy book that Grandma Kim got for him.

Boston just loves Corduroy... it really is a solid foundation for him.

Here's a fun new activity that Boston has discovered... I don't know what his obsession is with appliances but, hey, at least he's obsessed with things that clean. I'm hoping that sticks.

I was nervous to put this one on here because it's so cute, but at the same time Boston looks kind of menacing. It looks like he's giving me a talking-to.

Boston has become a fan of hide-and-seek. He's also been waving bye-bye. Here he is being found and bidding you adieu.

So much to do... so much... time...

Well, go ahead and yell at me... I deserve it. It's been far too long since the last post. I'll just get straight to the pictures and not waste any more precious time babbling.

First and most important: we got to visit Grandma Kim again. We met up with Grandma Kim and Aunt Darci in Salt Lake and had a ball. Boston absolutely loves his beautiful girls.

And he loves his Darci, too.

Other than that the action has been as constant as it has been muted. Boston DID discover the clothes dryer and I'm pretty sure he'd stay in there forever if we let him.

We'll have more to post soon, but I wanted to catch up a bit... so, now we're two weeks behind, instead of three. But Boston is politely asking you to forgive his dear old dad... and he's asking with this face:

The Boss is Mobile!

It was mere days ago that our little treasure was handsome wherever we happened to put him. But now he's decided he's gonna be handsome wherever he darn well pleases. And so none of you skeptics out there can say that we just posed the munchkin and snapped a photo I am giving you, not one, not two, but three videos as proof.

We made it hard for him, of course, with the wood floors, but here he is shortly after finally crawling going after... pills. We're trying to not read into it.

The carpet seemed to be easier, but we Ruberts are not ones to take the easy road, so...

...Boston went ahead and mastered those wood floors until they cried, "Uncle"!

And to answer the inevitable question, yes he's into everything already, but I am positive about it because his curiosity is unquenchable and I couldn't ask for many things more beneficial to him... that and he's one step closer to being my go-to guy. "Boston, please bring me a/the/some (whatever my sly little heart desires)."

Oh What Fun!

Well it's been an exciting couple of weeks for Boston and his crew. The most exciting thing that happened was finally being able to meet his Aunt Haily, and boy did they have fun!

This is right after Boston met Haily, which was right after Haily got home from a long day of snowmobiling.

Haily was visiting with her "buddy", Chris, who is a kick in the pants.

Everyone had a good time.

Haily is very fond of Boston...

...and Boston waited until Chris left the room to show Haily how he felt. What a schmoozer!

We thought it would be best to get some pictures of Boston in the snow since it's his first winter. This rad snowsuit (which doesn't come in Dad sizes... I checked) was from Grandma Jones, and it is cooooozy.

Of course Boston wanted to try sledding and all we had was a storage tub. But he insisted, and of course George called shotgun.

After that we tried snow angels... I think it's obvious how well that went over.

And, finally, we discovered how much Boston likes being eaten but not knowing who's doing it.

Merry Christmas!

Boston's first Christmas was pretty darn fun! We had the brilliant idea of letting him open his presents first thing in the morning before his after-breakfast nap... maybe not the best idea.

But our little trooper forged ahead and at least got a pretty good haul.

After our failed attempt at instilling Christmas-morning jitters we headed to Grandpa and Grandma Jones' house where I foolishly forgot to get any pictures, but Boston got some awesome P.J.'s. We then headed for Big Sky country to visit Great Grandpa Mac. First things first, the two McNallys had to size each other up...

...after which Boston showed Grandpa how he can tell time with his mouth.

Boston got another chance to be excited for presents. Grandma helped him open them and monitored his wrapping-paper intake. Enjoy this "First Christmas Part II" montage.

Boston also got to take a bath in Grandma Kate's cool claw-foot tub.

And finally, we lowered Boston's bed for the first time because... he's starting to pull himself up. They grow up so fast.

Six Months Old!

Alright, so dad's slacking. I didn't take any pictures on Boston's 6 month birthday last week so we took a whole bunch this weekend.

Say no to this face? Mom and dad are in for a real treat the more charming this kid gets.

Kjerstin decorated the Christmas tree for Boston's first Christmas. We had to let him help a little so he didn't feel like he wasn't participating. Boston's job was to lubricate the ornaments with lots and lots of slobber so they slid onto the branches all nice and easy.

We took our Christmas card pictures today. We played around and had some fun while we were at it.

Boston just loves his mommy.

I've been slacking on the monkey pictures, too. This is not an optical illusion, Boston's head is almost as big as George's. Boston was roughing George up a bit, just to remind him who's Bos.

One of life's smallest, and yet infuriating, frustrations is seeing your kids doing the cutest, funniest and most memorable things and you either don't have a camera or the camera doesn't click fast enough to catch it. Well, evidently it's just me because Kjerstin was able to catch some of these funny faces Boston has been making lately.
